Minnesota Nice

We visited Midwestern Minnesota! The state bordering Canada and Lake Superior, the largest of the Great Lakes. The state contains more than 10,000 other lakes, including Lake Itasca, the Mississippi River’s primary source. The “Twin Cities” of Minneapolis and state capital Saint Paul are dense with cultural landmarks. We really enjoyed walking Saint Pauls tree lined avenues. Not only does it have late Victorian charm but the people dress the Victorian part with a twist of Burlesque in every corner.  We walked by many homey cafes and artsy boutiques. Minnesota definitely took us back to a time we can only dream of. We sat down at this French Bistro called Salut Bar American and ate an amazing breakfast and wrapped our hands around warm cups of coffee while taking in the extremely Minnesota Nice local vibes.

After we headed to the incredibly picturesque Como zoo and conservatory. It was filled with a selection of annuals, perennials, trees, and shrubs. It was a haven for all sorts of butterflies or anyone who dreams of enchanted gardens. They have many gardens in one setting. Our favorite was the Sunken Garden which offers beautiful floral shows that are updated seasonally. This garden is not only an artful display but extremely fragrant. The fragrance takes us into the secret garden we all dreamed of. If we can bottle up the aroma and share it with you. You'd live forever in Ecstasy.  It was really refreshing to see the family values and that  handing your neighbor sugar isn’t so yesterday. But today in the Midwest.
